Students will be able to explore three societal implications of modern genetics which include the human genome project, gene therapy, and genetic screening. They will further explore genetic disorders by selecting a specific disorder and relating it to one societal implication. Below is the assignment created. The assignment is quite long and it is recommended to give class time as well as several weeks to work on it in-class and at home before it is to be submitted.
